Trains approaching intersecting rail lines and junctions on a layout will find an important building known as the Interlocking Tower, a new Built- & -Ready Landmark Structure.A crucial component of the railroad network, these towers house an interlocking track machine that controls train movements through signals, switches and track circuits. This system also guarantees safe operations at railway stations and junctions.The interlocking machine's model board sits in the center of the tower's upstairs cabin and is visible from 360 degrees through windows on all sides.
